Transmission Converter, Filter, Pan, Line, Cooler, Pipe, Dipstick, Linkage and Seal

The two types of transmissions in GM vehicles are manual and automatic. Manual are those transmissions in which the driver selects the gear they wish to drive in. Automatic transmissions select the required gear automatically depending on the speed and torque requirements of the vehicle. There is no manual clutch in cars with automatic transmissions. The current transmissions typically include parts such as, Transmission Filter, Transmission Pan, Transmission Converter, Transmission Pipe, Transmission Line, Transmission Cooler Transmission Dipstick, Transmission Seal, and Transmission linkage.

GM automobile engineers developed transmissions for cars very early on, and the manual gear was the first transmission type to be used. However, GM engineers were developing and testing the automatic gearbox as early as the late 1930’s. GM introduced their automatic transmission, the Hydromatic, in the cars of the fifties. GM transmission systems since then have seen many enhancements and developments as GM vehicles’ technology and design have evolved.

GM introduced the Turbo-Hydromatic transmission in the 1970’s. GM transmission systems have had to be redesigned and engineered as many GM vehicles went from traditional rear wheel drive to front wheel drive and all wheel drive. In the 1990’s, GM introduced the Electronic Hydromatic automatic transmission system. This is not to say that the manual transmission systems have been ignored. Their technology has also been advanced, and nowadays manual transmission systems are synchronized and include as many as six forward gears.

As we have previously stated at NewAutoParts.com, the entire genuine GM parts and accessories catalog has been uploaded for your convenience. All you need to do is to enter your vehicles year, make and model - including your vehicle’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)  and search the GM transmission part you need. We are quite sure that you will be able to locate the correct part in your search and be very pleased with our WHOLESALE pricing. Remember, we ship parts not only in the United States but worldwide. And we offer the most reliable commercial shipping services.

Please remember that opening or dismantling the transmission system of your GM vehicle to diagnose a potential problem requires proper training, especially if the transmission is an electronic controlled system. It would not be advisable to allow anyone other than a certified technician to perform the diagnosis on your behalf.

“The best compliment you can give us is to refer us to your friends and family for all their original GM parts and accessory needs.”
